The Play Reading group meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 2pm in members’ homes. There are usually 6 or 7 of us at each meeting. We have read a variety of two act plays during 2024.  Some serious, The Dresser by Ronald Harwood dealing with homosexuality while still illegal. Some slightly risqué, In at the Deep End by Derek Benfield. Others by well-known authors Joe Orton, Fay Weldon and N.C Crisp. We all read a part - large or small - whatever people are willing to do and have a tea break between the acts.  We are fortunate to be able to borrow plays through Newbury and Thatcham libraries at small cost.  Do come and join us in the New Year if you think you would be interested
