Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that combines flowing movements with deep breathing and meditation. It offers everyone improved balance reducing the risk of falling, enhanced flexibility and mental well-being, making it a safe and effective low-impact exercise.
Tai Chi strengthens leg muscles, enhances reflexes and improves body awareness. The flowing, circular movements of tai chi gently stretch major joints and muscles which helps maintain mobility for everyday tasks like reaching, bending, or getting in and out of cars. Coordinating breathing practices promotes relaxation, helps clear the mind and improve focus.
Thatcham u3a has an excellent and experienced tutor who leads the weekly lessons.
