This group has been reading and discussing books since 2020, meeting in members’ homes on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
Members take turns in bringing 3 titles, actual books or information about them, for the group to choose one for the following month. These can come from the library, on Kindle, new or pre-loved.
The group has read books from many different genres and from different eras, for example: -
- The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell
- The Rising Man by Abir Mukherjee
- Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee
- The Man who Died Twice by Richard Osman
- In the Blink of an Eye by Jo Callaghan
- Persuasion by Jane Austin
There’s always a lively and interesting discussion about each book with many different views.
