There is an increasing awareness of the effect of the arts on wellbeing. Very few people choose art as a hobby when they retire, however, dismissing it as something that they cannot do. As a converted ‘non-believer’ myself, I know that we all can ‘do it’ (though some better than others).

I would like to introduce you to this basic skill that you can take forward into the rest of your life. Leave technological gizmos behind for a while and reconnect with the world through simple paper and pencil.

Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month between 10:30 and 12:30 noon, initially at my house. This limits the numbers but I intend holding more ‘taster’ sessions and, if and when justified, we may rent a larger room.

I would like to reassure you that this group is very much for beginners and there will be no pressure to produce works of art - If you do, you’re probably ready to move to another group!
